As part of a comprehensive range of satellite services, RRsat's on-site services provide direct satellite access from your premises. On-site uplink systems are highly versatile and can transmit analog or digital TV. RRsat's on-site uplink combines the flexibility of a custom designed solution and the cost effectiveness of an on-the-premises uplinking.

Flexible On-Site Uplink Services
By cutting out the need for terrestrial links between your studio and a distant teleport, on-site service can reduce uplink costs significantly, while simultaneously improving service reliability. Typically, a compact and lightweight cabin contains the system's electronics. The antenna can be located on the cabin's roof or ground mounted, depending on your requirements and the nature of the site.
Resilience and Full Remote Management
Resilience against failure in any part of the transmission chain is even more critical with digital MUXs carrying multiple channels of pay TV. State-of-the-art remote control systems allow operation of the terminal from the RRsat main teleport earth station and provide an instant warning alarm. In addition, the system has a powerful control ability enabling it to re-configure the systems as necessary.
Installed On-Site Systems
Over the last year, RRsat Broadcast Services has successfully installed on-site uplink systems accessing a variety of satellites (see above diagram). Our on-site uplink systems are custom built to meet your specific requirements and are fully compliant with satellite operators' specifications. RRsat provides all necessary uplink licenses.
